NFS Underground 2

I know not a new game or anything, but Donna bought it for me a while back and I'm just starting to get into it. The game is awesome in my opinion. So much variety in what you can do, and I just love burning around the streets sometimes outside of a race.

That's one of my cars over there in the right, awesome if you ask me!!!

Garage Flood

With everything happening around Australia with cyclones... this kind of seems fairly dismal in comparison. But about a month ago there was some heavy rain in Sydney and my garage got flooded. Unfortunately for me, my garage is located at the bottom of a slope and the drain in front of it was blocked with leaves and dirt, and thus overflowed into the garage filling it with water and looking like this:

AND just to be a pain, the garage was poorly designed and the floor slopes into the middle rather than towards the drain, so all the water was stuck in the middle :-
Since the garage was overloaded with stuff that I don't use I rarely visited the garage and thus we didn't discover this mess until a week after the rain had invaded the garage. This caused everything in the garage to go mouldy until we discovered it (GROSS!!!!). Normally having water in the garage isn't such a big deal, but since my sister is overseas, she has stored all her gear in my garage. So practically all of her stuff needed to be removed and cleaned or thrown out. Which looked a lot like this:

Leigh and I had an exhausting weekend pulling everything out of the garage and cleaning it and then packing it all back in. We got to spend some quality time together though....... along with mould and bleech :S But I think we did a better job packing everything back into the garage and got the opportunity to throw out a heap of stuff we didn't need.

Firefox lights up the blog

http://leighmcculloch.blogspot.com/2006/01/browsers-cont-again.html

Wow - who would have thought an innocent post about an article I read, would lodge a full out assault of fox-uzzies =P. If you haven't noticed, there's a 'conversation' floating back and forth between an article author and a Firefox fan in commments of a recent blog of mine.

Check it out, join in the fun =P.

I can't believe people are actually that passionate about browsers, it really is like a religion. On one hand, we have the Firefox fan on the other Andrew K (author of Firefox Myths and obvious disliker of the Firefox movement).

I don't know whats sadder, the fact people can be that passionate about liking or disliking an application, or that people can argue about it as if its on the same level as going to war or not. I may be picky with my own browser tastes (hence the original post), but I think that their passion is slightly misplaced.

Fluid Dynamics in Pong

http://www.plasmapong.com/

A game released this year that is a variation of PONG. It uses real-time fluid dynamics to drive the game environment. You can inject plasma fluid into the environment, create a vacuum from your paddle, and blast shockwaves into the playing area. All having fluid-based kinetic effects on the ball.

The game is fun, plus if you press F1 after entering the game, you can create your own effects using fluid dynamics.

ULTRAVIOLET

http://video.download.com/3800-11264_53-12235.html?tag=vdl_cntnt_col1_yjw_name

Check out the trailer of Ultraviolet, its already been released outside of Australia, I hope it comes here soon. The movie looks awesome, and I'm a fan of Milla Jovovich's acting, especially in the Resident Evil series.

XBox 360 Presentation

I found this video of the presentation of the XBox 360. It looks cool, I've decided I want to get one when they are released in Australia.
