Wishing for a White Christmas

After spending the last couple of days in 40+ degree heat it always makes me wonder "How different is a White Christmas?". For instance this picture is Central Park in 2002 where they had plenty of snow to go around for everyone (maybe they could have sent some over to Australia).

Now lets look at the typical Christmas that you would find in Australia... Some nice scorching summers bring around a good time of the year to go and jump in the water at the beach. This photo is Bondi Beach in 2004. Very different worlds aren't they? Well, this year I would hate to be on Cronulla Beach for Christmas... I doubt there will be much Christmas cheer around there this year.

One day I would like to experience at least one White Christmas.

Blog Change

If you haven't noticed, there has been one recent change to this site.... The title of the blog :)
That's right, Leigh and I are now sharing this blog. I'm very glad that Leigh invited me to share his blog with him. We will most likely be doing more and more joint stuff in the future. We are also giving out joint Christmas presents :)

Working in Melbourne

I'm in Melbourne now for two months, working for a game developer here. Melbourne seems like a nice place. Stopped in at the AGDC to catch up with a friend - it looked rather sparse. Apparantly this year is the last time Microforte plan to run it, so who knows with next year.

Tomorrow is my first day at work, I am looking forward to getting into some C++ programming again.

I think I'll enjoy my stay here =).
